St. Stephen's Basilica

Meeting with bishops, priests, deacons, members of monastic orders, seminarians, and pastoral workers in St. Stephen’s Basilica, the Holy Father gives a speech. Due to the limited capacity of the Basilica, a pass will be required on entry, with participation coordinated by dioceses and monastic communities. Teachers of religious education and all other participants will be welcome to attend at the square in front of the Basilica, where the meeting is planned to be broadcast on screens. The waiting is expected to start at 4 in the afternoon.

Holy Mass on Lajos Kossuth Square, homily by the Holy Father, Regina Caeli Prayer. We welcome everyone from both Hungary and neighboring countries. Participation in the event is not tied to registration but a security check before entry. Gates will be open from the early hours of the morning. The last entry is at 8:15 AM. Places can be taken in order of arrival up to the capacity of the square. For those who could not get a place on the square, large screens will be set up in the neighbouring areas and streets, so that everyone can follow the liturgy.

Meeting with representatives of university and cultural life at the Pázmány Péter Catholic University’s Faculty of Information Technology and Bionics, the Holy Father gives a speech. The main reason behind the event is that although the Pázmány Péter Catholic University’s Faculty of Theology has a history going back almost four hundred years, it is celebrating the 30th anniversary of its foundation in the current academic year. It is Hungary’s only Catholic University established by the Holy See. No registrations are being accepted for the event.
